Flow Settings in MyTherapyWizard

Team Set up: Flow Settings

Team Set up Flow Settings - MyTherapyWizard help article card

Flow settings (workflow) are one of the most important settings in MyTherapyWizard.  Flow settings are available on all Teams plans, with or without the Billing add-on.  Flow settings tell MyTherapyWizard how the organization or team runs and who is responsible for what and when.  Flow settings replace project management applications.  Flow settings keep teams running smoothly and ensure that no event is forgotten- it therefore is the logic behind your team's workflows and replaces the needs for tracking related spreadsheets.

Lifecycle Stages

Go to Practice Settings>Flow Settings

Lifecycle Stages is the like project management logic.  It tells MyTherapyWizard how the Teams organization runs, in what order tasks should be done and who is responsible for the task. Lifecycle dives deeper and allows the organization to enable or disable the particular flow as well as to state how many days the task should be completed in.  When enabled, the "flow" can be visualized in the client's therapy profile, which paints a visual picture of where the client is in the therapy workflow. We call it the lifecycle "strip".

In the lifecycle strip below, the client did not qualify for therapy and so the lifecycle ended at the evaluation report.  The other stages are green because they happened.

In the next example, this client's evaluation report is completed.  The POC has been created (blue) and the admin has began reviewing the POC (both blue-showing started and still on time), but its not completed.  After these have been completed, the next stage will be Provider Order because that lifecycle is next on this organizations lifecycle flow.

Group Permissions and Defaults

Insurance Rules by Therapist

There are several rule types that you can add such as co-sign required, co-sign required for documents, payer excluded and modifier required for specific procedure codes and /or payers.

Given state board rules and insurance clinical coverage policies, choose the ones that are true for your organization so that MyTherapyWizard will help enforce compliance.

Insurance limits (payer rules)

With this feature setting, you can set rules (via insurance clinical coverage) to keep your organization in compliance. You can choose insurances that you have added as payers in MTW.

You can choose any of these fields but do not need to fill in the fields that do not apply.

Payer Network

Your Payer Network is here.    The "Label" is only seen by you.  In cases where some payers have many different plans , you can use the label to help differentiate.  Such as when Centene is the payer name for 5 managed care organizations, you can label each (Carolina Complete, Partners, Vaya).

Payers should first be added in Practice Settings >Payers and Codes>Insurances.
