How to select and add goals

How to select and add goals - MyTherapyWizard help article card

The Goal Bank holds measurable, structured goals you can reuse across clients, so you start from a well-written goal instead of a blank page. Goals work across disciplines and settings, from early childhood through adulthood, for both educational (IEP) and medical plans of care.

Find goals

  • Open Clinical > Goal Bank and use the tabs: All Goals, My Goals, Favorites and Team.
  • Search by keyword, or filter by domain, goal type (long-term or short-term) and measurement type.
  • A yellow star marks goals you saved; a green star marks goals your team admin saved as team favorites.

Add goals to a plan of care

  1. Open the plan of care and go to the Goals tab.
  2. Click From Bank and choose the goals you want.
  3. Edit any part of the goal (skill, context, measurement, support and mastery) to fit the client.
  4. Save. Use the save icon on any goal to keep it in My Goals for next time.

Built on structured, scored results

MyTherapyWizard is an EMR with clinical protocols built in:

  • Guided Evaluations are scored with structured scoring: the same criteria, rules and performance bands for every client.
  • The plan of care is generated from that evaluation, with goals linked to the baseline.
  • Once the plan of care is active, its goals populate into your session notes. Each goal gets a Goal Performance Index (GPI) that combines accuracy with the support needed, so 70% independent and 70% with maximum assistance score differently. Each session gets a Session Performance Index (SPI), the average of its GPIs.
  • Reports draw from these scored results plus the comments and narratives you wrote. AI only helps with wording. It never changes a score, and you approve every line.
