New to School-Based Practice: Your First 30 Days

New to School-Based Practice - Your First 30 Days - MyTherapyWizard help article card

New school therapists often say they have no mentor, no framework and no system for tracking anything. This plan gets the basics running in a month.

✨ Available on: All plans

  1. Week 1: caseload. Import students from a CSV, then set up recurring sessions from each IEP.
  2. Week 2: evaluations. Run your first Guided Evaluation and add standardized scores in Assessments (see Choosing School-Based Assessments When Standardized Tests Don't Fit).
  3. Week 3: goals. Build the Plan of Care and goals from the Goal Bank (see Writing Functional, Measurable IEP Goals With the Goal Bank).
  4. Week 4: notes and progress. Write notes with goal data and run your first progress report (see Progress Data That Holds Up in an IEP Meeting and Faster Session Notes for Large Caseloads).
  5. Every day: open My Worklist first (see Managing Workload, Not Just Caseload).

💡 Why it matters: a new therapist starts with templates and a goal bank instead of a blank page.
